Trainee programme

Would you like to work in a live industrial project whole still at university? Then ProDSP’s trainee programme is just the thing for you!

The cooperation between ProDSP Technologies and the Budapest University of Technology and Economics goes back a long time.  Since our company’s foundation in 2008, we have maintained excellent relations with the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, as the founders were initially doctorands and colleagues of its Department of Measurement and Information Systems.

Cooperation with the Department has been continuous ever since, and various project cooperations also take place from time to time. In addition, our company constantly takes in students for internship from the Department of Measurement and Information Systems.

As our company grew, so did professional areas, and this also meant the expansion of our trainee programme. And apart from electrical engineering students, students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics are coming to us continuously. The latest development is that not only engineering students but technician trainees are also welcome.

Why is it a good idea to be our trainee?

  • Let’s look at the facts that may help decide whether ProDSP is the right place for you!
  • Our company’s trainee programme adapts to university studies, so here you can really deal with what you study.
  • Our trainees are full members of the team, we look at them like our full time colleagues – everyone will know your name at our place.
  • Trainees are supported from day one by a professional mentor, working with his students on a daily basis.
  • After 10+ years of departmental work we are quite aware how important university obligations are, and we also support you with that.
  • You also have the possibility to perform your summer apprenticeship here.

You can work on real projects!

At ProDSP, products are linked in each case to specific industrial projects; they are not of any “research” nature, but parts of the company’s live development tasks.

Topics are available for you in the following areas:

  • BSc independent laboratory
  • BSc thesis
  • MSc independent laboratory
  • MSc diploma planning subjects

What is a trainee’s life like at our company?

As ProDSP is a small company of 40 employees, everyone really knows everyone here. Trainees therefore have every reason to feel they also matter.

When you join us, you get a mentor under whose close professional supervision and support you dive into the pool of sharks straight away. This means that you’d be working on live industrial projects right from the beginning.

We therefore also select your topic to be directly connected to one of our real, ongoing projects. So, at our company, you have the chance to apply “right in the field” what you had learnt at university. But how did the lives of trainees who had graduated here evolve?

The figures speak for themselves!

Currently (2021) 2 mechanical engineer, 2 electrical engineer and 1 technician trainees work at the company.

In our present permanent team, a total of 11 full-time colleagues came from the trainee programme, clearly showing the tendency that trainees in general envision their future at our company, following their internship.

And those who did not continue their professional careers with us after completing the programme have all stood their ground in the trade, be it Hungarian multinationals or jobs abroad.

Is ProDSP Technologies the right company for you?

Reading this article, it is you who can answer that best.

What we recommend is sending your application only if exciting professional challenges do not frighten you, if you are after real practical experience, and if you’d like to be the active and useful member of a professional community at a continuously expanding high-tech engineering firm.
